Some years ago, at the behest of the late Chris Klein, I designed a resin and lost wax brass conversion kit that converted his [and Chris Basten's] Minerva 8750 0-6-0PT RTR model into the 97xx condensing pannier tank variety. This has been sucessfully [I believe] marketed by Minerva subsequently.
This month's Railway Modeller [July 2026] contains a rather long [7 page] review of the construction of the kit by John Cockroft. Whilst I am not part of the Minerva company, I should say that John has demonstrably produced one of the best constructed - and IMHO certainly the best finished [painted and weathered] GWR [green] pannier tank model that I have ever seen.
I understand that variations of this review could well appear in other journals in due course but I suggest, pro tem, that it would be worth looking out for the RM July 2026 issue.
