That is looking very good indeed Jon.
Could be tempted into G3 if they were available (hmmm, maybe get a bigger printer?)

Superb Jon. Of course there are mistakes, but known only to you and it looks excellent to us mere mortals. Afterall, the perfect model hasn't been built ... yet.

Rob R - You'll never know until you try Gauge 3. Go on you know you want to !

Funny you should say that Mike.
Drawing not yet finished (hinges etc, headstock detail) and first test print leaving something to be desired but a Spalding and Bourne Railway Gloster van in G3 for a fellow SSMRS member.
Biro for scale.
Apologies for poor snapshot and apologies to Jon for the diversion.20230311_193022.jpg
About 6 quid for the resin and two 8 hour prints.

That has incredibly clear detail and no stripes! Most of the 3D prints that I've seen are covered in stripes from the layering process, I presume and would be a devil to sand off which is why I've never gone for them.

Jon,
There is a little bit of layering on the centre end stanchions because they have a slight taper but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a few seconds of light sanding.
The ends and outer 2 side panels form U shaped pieces with the door sections separate, small holes for wire alignment dowels and assembled around a 3mm ply floor and inner sides.
Still much work to do yet.

That looks amazing! What printer and resin did you use, please? I'd buy a machine tomorrow if I was sure I could get results like that!

John.
John,
Without cluttering up Jon's thread too much, Elegoo Mars 2 Pro is the machine, this resin was the Elegoo water washable grey and it was (is being) drawn in Tinkercad.
I shall report further on my workbench thread in due course.

Hi Jon the wagon look fantastic, you have a mastery of combining the metal and styrene that works to great advantage.

Here she is with coat of gloss grey. I've ordered some transfers for her and they've been applied, I'll give the wagon a coat of matt varnish. There is very little documentation as to what lettering these early wagons carried and so, I've simply ordered L S W R Co and a number for this and the other LSWR wagon. I gleaned the information about the 'Co' part from the book, SOUTHERN STYLE Part One LSWR by John Harvey.

Another one finished at last. I used RailMatch, Roof Dirt on the springs and W irons which is a new thing for me as I always used to use 'weathered black'. I think that I'm going to stick to the Roof Dirt colour in future. On the axle boxes and buffer heads, I used a gun blue and then sprayed them with matt varnish to keep the rust at bay. I'm not sure why I didn't think of it ages ago. The grey of the wagon, I'd have liked a bit lighter but not so light that the white lettering wouldn't have shown up. It just depends on what Mr Halford has in the way of rattle cans when I visit him. No one really knows what shade of grey these early wagons had so, I feel justified in my choice. :)
