LNWR engineering brick - a reference

They are representative of typical engineering bricks used by the former LNWR in the construction of bridge parapets etc. In this case, the bricks are the remains of a bridge parapet carrying the Benllech to Pentraeth Road over a deep cutting on the former Red Wharf Bay branch line, just outside Pentraeth village, a subject that has captured and maintained my interest over many years.
As I was in the area, I just thought I’d seize the opportunity to take a photo or two of its remains.

I hope they might prove useful to somebody.

Humblest apologies, however, I had nothing at the time with which to take measurements, although the bricks appeared to be of a standard size.
