Dear All

I just wanted to update everyone on where this project has got to.

First I want to say that I am not an independent party as I am one of those who has provided the funding for this project and I clearly want it to succeed.

We recently received the first photos of the decorated pre production samples the photos are below.

These models are now on their way to us by air freight and we expect to have them next week when more photos will be available. We will be inspecting the models to make sure they do reach our high standards and if all is well production should take place in November and we will be at the Reading show on December 10th with locos for sale.

Can't wait to see the fully decorated samples in the flesh, and the day that my own model arrives, will look the dogs danglies next to the BRCW Type 2, a Dapol 08 and a few J68's on shed!!

I've heard that Scale7 conversion has been very much taken into account during the design process too?

From what I've read previously the Cl15 didn't make it in to blue, though having had a quick search i saw a picture of a green 15 next to a blue 20, so it'll still work..

Our understanding is that none of the class made it into BR blue so we won't be producing a BR blue version. Clearly if you have evidence otherwise we would be very interested to see it and there is still time to change things but not long now.

Just had a quick Wikipedia moment, and it says that the Cl15 survived until around '71, when did Blue come in?

If they were never blue will the double arrow (on a corporate blue background), corporate number styles, electrification flashes and data panels be included as decals in the full yellow front version?

As Mick has pointed out although they look a bit blue they are in fact in green.
I'll check with Steve (the man who's done all the hard work on this project) and check exactly what versions we are producing as I think its about 6 different ones, I certainly like the green with arrows.

I think that even the few that were retained in departmental service stayed in Green.

There is of course the option of the preserved D8233 in Railfreight Grey.....

I'll get me coat! :D
