Lovely work Steven. A joy to see what can be done with a good eye and imagination, railway depots really are filthy places!
Plenty of sun down here today, I am sweltering away not far from you...:).

As part of the Guilds new modular exhibition layout I’ve decided to do a 12’ version of the sea wall at Dawlish
Those of you familiar with my work will know about my previous models based around my favourite stretch or railway line. This time I’ll be modelling Parsons Tunnel mouth and Kennaway Tunnel mouth as the scenic brakes. Kennaway will include a lattice style footbridge in front. If I can squeeze in the viaduct by Parsons then I will. Each board is 4’ long and 2’ 6” deep.
Jon Fitness will be supplying the signals and Intentio will be laser cutting the tunnel mouths and Parsons tunnel signal box.
My previous 6’ long model above was on display at the Swindon show at Steam last weekend and had many favourable comments. It’s an iconic stretch of railway and I’m sure will be a popular new addition to the Guilds new layout concept.

Plus I have some unfinished business in that I never got to complete my old what was going to be an exhibition layout the Riviera line due to the very sudden ending of my marriage and subsequent sale of my house, luckily this layout lives on in Scotland so this new version will hopefully tie up a few loose ends for me and I’ve learnt a lot in the last 5 years since the above projects where built so I’m hoping I can better them.

Following on from Grimsby & we are now arrive at a very impressive piece of GCR architecture.
Kirton Lindsey tunnel mouth in Lincolnshire
Designed by Richard Ellis of Monks Gate Models it will now come to me to be built in a similar fashion to the recently completed Box Tunnel.
Like Grimsby it will be set in 1923 and Jon Fitness has been commissioned to build a pair of GCR signals for it.
As I’m moving home shortly modelling services will be delayed a little so we are looking at spring time next year for completion.
A big thanks to Mathew Thompson for commissioning a second build from me.IMG-2315.jpeg

Very nice photos in MR. Do you aim for a "damp" look as the surfaces and scenics look like it might recently have rained? If so, have you any tips on getting that look please?
Many thanks, I think that’s result of the natural sunlight when taking the pictures outdoors

A little slice of a large station project. This has been on the back burner for 10 years or so. The idea is to recreate scenes like Exeter Saint David’s and the passing Cornish Riviera and ACE.
Or loco changes at Cardiff General or Shrewsbury. The back wall will be a large retaining wall with a canopy, a footbridge as the scenic break and a bridge the opposite end. Some rather nice big GW signals will book end the viewing area. IMG_8204.jpeg
A very long way to go yet and a good dose of imagination needed.
