Sorry if this isn't the right place, but could I ask for some help regarding dimensions of standard GWR boiler fittings ?
I am drawing up GWR (ex MSWJR) 2-4-0 numbers 1334-6 after 1923 rebuild with GWR standard number 11 boiler. Googled diameters for boiler rings are 4ft 2in/ 4ft 3in which presumably equates to approx 4ft 8in over cladding, boiler length 10ft 6in, firebox length 5ft 6in.
However, the various fittings were standard parts so I wonder whether someone could point me in the right direction please for detailed drawings/ dimensions of chimney, safety valve bonnet, and dome. Also the rimmed type smokebox door - and indeed the smokebox (diameter) itself assuming it was also a standardised dimension.
I have copies of the various weight diagrams etc for these locos but would like to cross refer with known dimensions where possible to keep things as accurate as possible.
