I located these misfiled pictures whilst 'tidying up' my lap top and thought they might be of interest. Apropos nothing, they had been subject to an attempt at 'editing' !

Winmdscreen washing at Bonn Hbf - 101 109-7 getting the treatment on a Koln-bound working.



A dmu creeping in to Bonn with a terminating service. The compression is not to my liking so this shown with reluctance, but there we are !


Look towards Koln from the end of the island platform (Bahnsteigen 2 and 3)


Finally a train of empty ballast wagons pulled by an Eisenbahn-Service-Gesellschaft mbh Mak 1206 deisel No.1 passing Konigswinter heading towards Bonn-Beuel.

Hope these may be of some passing interest. They all date from September 2011.

DB AG are now starting to withdraw the Br 101s from service.

Thanks for the information, Dave - it was a fair while back - eleven years in fact plus a few days since I took that picture. At that time the 101's reigned supreme on the IC services. "Times, they are a changing" - no doubt ICE units are now more to the fore but I guess I shall not visit Germany again.... tempus fugit as they say, sparing no-one. !
