Prototype Continental in B&W

In the continuing tidying of my lap-top files I came across these pictures which I don't believe I have posted before. If my memory is at fault in this respect, my humble apologies, but I hope you may be able to enjoy them again :).

A class 111 at Aschaffenburg which had just made a spirited run from Wurzburg. It would ultimately terminate at Frankfurt-Main. I left the train here to change for a connection to Darmstadt.

A class 141 427-5 at Heidelberg awaiting departure with a local train.

Class 111 111-1 arriving at Dusseldorf-Derendorf in the Rheinland S-bahn stone and orange band livery on a service which originated from the Airport terminal. This particular unit carried a number sought by an awful lot of loco-spotters! At the time these locos were exclusively used on these services but were later replaced by former DR locos.

Finally, Oostende and the SNCB Taken at about 6.30am one morning in the very early 1980's, 2618 awaits departure on a Brussels service.

For information the photos all date back to the early 1980's
