This is what I'm setting out to build. It's a rebuild of an England build of a Gooch design for the "narrow gauge" in the north of the GWR system. The rebuild was in Wolverhampton between 1878 and 1883 and I think this photo shows that rebuild as I've photos of later rebuilds with a straight cab front.
I don't know the copyright holder, but happy to acknowledge if anyone comes forwards.
I bought a set of etches a few years ago at Guildex. They have 2 sketch drawings and a GA drawing copyright PH Read. Two of the etches are marked, one 2006 PHRead the other 021 designs. Anyone know PH Read?
The etches seem decent quality with the chassis etch being quite thick.
I'm currently building a River class which is very similar, so I hope to be able to see how things go together from that build
I've got a full set of River castings for the Chancellor. Wheel diameter is 6'6" but the nearest I can find is the Slaters 6"9" which I guess will have to do.
So now to study the etches and work out how it goes together. This should be fun.
