Yes and here's how to do it,
As it's now on Facebook and in the public domain I can confirm that canton will be featuring in Model Rail some time this year, Chris Nevard has sent me a proof shot today,

Copy right remains with Chris and I'd like to thank him for the superb image and this I've been informed is a rough copy.

In order to help resolve this sticking point - may I respectfully suggest the use of swivelling bulkheads, with empty seats on the other side? Both bulkheads worked by solenoids linked to direction of travel, with neutral being empty seats showing both ends.

Noooooooooo...then the little men would be looking at the electric motor all day.....

Steve: that's a nice photo, although the finish on the loco looks like the right hand end has been cleaned and the left hand end is still matt/mucky?

As the rain continues to lash down all work on the railway room has ground to a halt, a lot of it is out side work so it will have to wait until it drys up and gets a little warmer.
I've been having a look at my templot plans again this time with the detailed sleeper work on the first set of points and crossovers as you can see it fills the living room and encroaches in to the kitchen. My wife keeps looking at me with a strange look every time I start to lay them out!!!
This really shows how templot is a great tool for layout planning and I have to thank Rob once again for the time he has put in.
Even as the sky Is grey this plan shows what is to come this year, it's a step up from canton but I'm really looking forward to getting going on it.

The bottom two lines go right up to the window but I didn't fancy shoving the sofa out of the way!

I must apologise for the musical outburst above (*) - I think hours of recent listening to diesel sounds on Youtube may have frazzled something in my head

Your Templot carpet photo illustrates very well just how good a full-size template can be for visualising how the space will be filled

I've started staring at quite a large space without much idea at the moment - I have a set of full-size (for 7mm  ) templates by Exactoscale and think I'd better start shuffling them around to at least start the ball rolling before wasting unnecessary hours on Templot. I wonder if I'd find a local Rob in the Yellow Pages......

(* Alcazar made me do it, Sir)

I would have thought that, rather than MOVE the sofa, a nicely modeled tunnel through it would be best? Make a good scenic break too, and modern sofas are strong enough to take a bit of jig-sawing...but YOU might not survive!

34064 Fighter Command seen here speeding through Leamington Spa on a special train in 1963 the tour started at paddington.
She is unique in having a Giesel oblong ejector. The plates were again a special commission but I think that they are now part of the range.

And for no good reason other than she's always been a favourite of mine,

This will be the next project built from a seven models kit with a lot of extra parts from both rag stone and Laurie griffin. The only thing that might get in the way will be the new David Andrews 47xx kit.

Ahh 'Fighter Command', that's probably going to be my subject matter when that interest bubble comes around again :)

Over on Rmweb ( heljan western Thread) a chap has raised both the headboard clips and head code box up, seeing this, this evening I've attacked the front of D1000 I've got some micro strip I can fill the underside with but that's tomorrow's job.
A few mm makes a huge difference to the face.

Continuing with the western, I had to match up the skirts and after two failed attempts at halfords Fred recommended I try mixing enamels so this is as close as I could get,
image.jpg
I actually think my version is closer to the original than heljans!! So what to do? As I want to shuttle D1000 along the back road on canton at the Newport O gauge show I broke out the weathering powders
image.jpg
This is only temporary as she's going to Fred to be done like this,

Other side,

With a bit of patchiness like this,
