00 Western detailing

I have just started work on a Western using the Brassmasters detailing kit. I would be grateful to know where I can get replacement buffers, speedometer cables (and for that matter any other part I might need) to finish the model.

Hello (and welcome!),

Dad has done the Brassmaster's conversion - and extensive re-engineering, but that's by the by. The buffers are standard BR loco ovals, I think: LB11B

I think you'd have to make your own speedo from wire (not hugely difficult). Since they were vac' only for most of their lives the usual forest of cables on the front is limited and again, I tend to make mine from wire when needed - though Hornby spares from the likes of Peter's Spares can provide.
