At long last the photos look more like the true colour, in reality they are fractionally darker, but not as dark or brown as the earlier photos. More photos when the weeds and undergrowth has grown and the trees "unfelled"

After being axed from the kemble brabches BR(WR) decided to experiment with AC Railcar W79977 on the Blackney branch running a shuttle servic between Gloucester Central and Blackney. Our erstwhile Photographer happened to capture the first trial run.

She needs a touch of weathering on the underframe and the odd passenger.

I've seen a photo* of a GWR Diesel Railcar at Coleford, so not an implausible scenario at all.

Alan, I am sorry but I have only just started to have a look at this rather nice layout, I will return to have a longer viewing. Just the right size for one person with some lovely scenics. Any earlier stock??!!

Thanks for sharing

Well Alan that has kept me busy for the last hour, better do some chores or woe betide!

Interesting lorry...my father had a Ford D for his building business in the 60s, it was from the days of his father. As far as I can remember it was black all over (weren't all Fords at one time?) and much to my mother's annoyance he drove my brother and I to school!! Very fond memories.

As I said a lovely escape you have in your den.

Thank you

Julian

Now weathered, perhaps slightlyoverdone, but it is almost time fo the passenger service to be taken away. All I need now is a driver and 1 or2 passengers( definitely no more) and to change the destination blinds (any one any ideas).
