QCAD screen based linetypes

I'm very happy with QCAD, but it refuses to recognise existing linetypes when I reopen and document, i.e. each time I need to check this option (View->Screen Based Linetypes(NL)).

I've searched in vain for a way to switch this on automatically in the defaults. Does anyone know if it's possible?
