Some time ago you might remember I posted links to the (then) new project undertaken by Miniatur Wunderland, a fully functioning and animated airport. The engineering and planning was on a truly epic scale. I was left wondering how such an approach would look applied to their bread and butter of rail and scenic model making. I subscribe to their video updates on yootoob and thanks to the latest link sent to me it looks as though I'll find out. The team are to tackle Italy, using two rooms and there's the chance to follow from beginning to end, starting with the outline concept here.
