Book Building the Mallaig Railway

In July 2017, Glenfinnan Station Museum received a black & white photograph of "Cooper & Co Railway Stores" a building which previously no visual record was known to exist. From the same source another another 100 never before seen photographs of the 1900 construction of this line, equipment and contractors locomotives appeared. These have now been compiled into a book available from Glenfinnan Station Museum. If you have access to BBC i-player programme is available on BBC Alba entitled "Song of The Track" well worth a look and as it did for me tempt you into a purchase of the book.

Having digested the first two chapters already and had a sneak peak at the rest, safe to say the combination of thorough research and delightful writing makes for a most enjoyable and informative reading experience!
Worth every penny.
