Today the etched plates from Beckert Beckert Modellbau arrived and as expected are excellent quality. As the scale of the model varies slightly as mentioned previously, I measured the dimensions of the printed plates with calipers and Beckert have made them to match, so they should exactly cover the prints. As he makes the plates to order, Thomas Beckert is very flexible and will make them to pretty much any scale. Lead time is 3-4 weeks.

I'm impressed with how shiny the wheel rims look, did you replace them with metal ones ?

Hi Mick,
The wheel rims are stainless steel as far as I know. You're not confusing this with the BR86 which is a static model and has painted rims are you?
