I hope that I am not teaching 'granny to suck eggs', yet for Peco O gauge (and SM32) points, the over-centre-spring is located within/under the dummy facing point lock moulding - just prize it off and the spring will probably fly off into the wild blue yonder anyway
+1, confirmed. In fact I'm surprised they haven't done that already, all by themselves.... :headbang:

Congratulations on the Bargain Pointwork, too!! "Long" isn't the word for it!!

A great day was had by all. Thanks for the hospitality Ian and the chance to finally let my 47 stretch its legs.

Now crack on and get a continuous loop finished

I will as soon as I have the R/Hand point to be able to lay the up loop. Its a shame that Roberto had to work as I would have liked to run some of his loco's as well

Top Stuff Ian. Agreat day was had by all by the look of it  . Some great pics there mate.
Its really taking shape.
The best pic in my opinion has to be the first one ;) it has WESTERN REGION written all over it    .
Also your BARGAIN ( brake tender) looks well at home  .
Again great pics. all you needed to make it a SUPERB day were some HYDRAULICS   .
OH and by the way i went to get a couple of FK's from Easybuild but he only had one left. Mmmmm apparently i've heard on the grapevine some brummie bought one    Have you started it yet mate ?. i have just started mine  . I had to buy a CK instead of the second Fk but it still fits in with my plan.

Yes I have Started mine Got as far as the door hinges and the bump stops I am not fitting the door handles until painting I am a bit confused with the windows though, any chance we could do a how to do it between us the Easy build website is a bit of a mine field it looks good though what a clever idea the door hinges are fiddly but worth it.

Just been in touch with Shawn at easy build Super glue and the frames have a slight lip on the inside insert the widow hold in place with the lip apply super glue easy even a brummie can do it. This is really coach construction for dummies.

I will do my best to Post some phots tonight as I have fitted the Easy-Build new brass window frames/surrounds to the first of my Lima Mk1's.

They have to be shaped - ever so slightly - so as to fit well (curved to fit the tumblehome etc.).

I also used resin based Cyano too.

All the best,

CME
Will this be on your new workbench thread ?

:pictures:

Phill :p ;)

PS. I've used it twice now

Well what a learning curve that was OK it was not hard to do but the instructions in places required translating into english and a few Phone calls to the owner. I especially liked the bit where it said coat with solvent weld offer the end up dont worry if it falls off just put it back on it will stick, I decided a different method was preferable when I build the BG  I have just recieved I will post pics of the build if thats acceptable
