It needs just a little more greenery....

Otherwise that track is looking great.

Edit:- Park Hall Halt between Gobowen and Oswestry a couple of weeks ago (although it didn't look a lot different today...)

Thanks Rob.

It's far from finished, mind you. With just over a month to go before it is exhibited Sheep Dip is quite literally bare boards and track. The ballast was just brushed into place to see what it looked like.

I've now painted all the sleepers and can hopefully weather the rest of the track before ballasting then add the green stuff. 20200313_210010-01.jpeg

Hopefully things will then get going a tad quicker.

In light of the current state of affairs, Rob, I’d take your time.

Btw, it’s all coming together quite swimmingly.

Morning Jonte.

The thought had crossed my mind but without such a deadline, things wouldn't necessarily progress. In any event, until I'm told anything to the contrary, Sheep Dip is to be exhibited at the show and I need to know I've done my very best to meet that requirement.

That said, I prefer to just get things done anyway rather than let it drag on.

The rush to get the layout built is normal though.

Bleat Wharf took three months before it was exhibited and photographed for the magazine. Mutton took eight....ish from start to first exhibition.......It was also photographed for a magazine at roughly that point.

Besides, I'm a curious sheep and would like to see what Sheep Dip will look like with a bit of colour and under proper layout lighting.

Until then, I really don't know how it will look, for sure.

Rob.

Nice steady progress Rob, always good to see, and as for the Sleeper weathering / colouring, well that is just outstanding.

Despite sealing in the powders, my only concern is that it all survives first contact with the ballasting....

Hi Tony.

Yes regarding the Bullhead points. I will use the medium radius on the Lamb Regis terminus project when I build it.

For now though, these smaller 'cameos', especially an industrial backwater such as Sheep Dip, using small radius is fine.
