RT's G3 workbench - Industrial diorama/layout

    Tony Riley. They were a batch done to special order last year.
    I have 4 to build.
    Not sure if he's going to do any more - but Andy at Woodbury Models has some similar, although laser cut.

    945232BC-F6A5-44BA-B8A1-B539B56875BB.jpeg Tony Riley does kits in G1 and a few of us Gauge three-ers persuaded him to do a Midland van.
    They have scored plywood sides and ends, all the other timbers are machined hardwood, so applying the outer framing and cutting the end angles is quite tedious, but looks the part.
    The four I am building are D353, I will be using Williams Models running gear.

    Especially for Simon, proper horsehooks fitted.

    Luckily Williams Models do some castings - 6 for the machinery wagon, 8 more for the Midland vans.

    Nearly finished one of Tony Riley's G3 Midland van bodys, just a few more bits to add and paint.

    That looks really good. A D353/7 is definitely on my scratchbuild list, though a kit would definitely quicken the process.
