Those flower baskets are really lovely, a great splash of colour set against the relatively sombre buildings. Actually, I'm not sure I mean sombre but rather the contrast between nature's colourful riot and the restrained tones of the man made stuff.

As John says, this is a really nice model railway. It has a feeling of authenticity, exudes a sense of time and place and I get the strong feeling I am seeing things as they were, observed by you and now re-created many years later - the ultimate kind of model railway experience I think.

Here's an addition to an old project.

Engine, radiator, starter motor, dynamo, coil, distributor, regulator, battery, gear stick, dash with dials, door handles in and out and double wishbone with suspention strut were added to the Popular, and probably a few other things that I've forgotten!

Lovely detail modelling. Very envious of you being able to see and work at such small scales, because I struggle nowadays.

If I may, though, point out the Ford E series had a single transverse leaf spring for each axle as suspension. The later 1953 three-box Anglias and Prefects had independent front suspension. I suppose you could say the old banger had been upgraded by a previous owner before finally being scrapped.
