Just doing some work on the diagram one
I've sprayed it a darker grey I'm trying to do a wagon in a run down condition
I've started to weather the inside of the D1 using weathering powders
Is that a Bill Bedford solid printed D1 John?
Hi Mike it's one of he ABS ones .Its the last one that I have although I am going to try one of Bills wagons .
I'm not sure if of interest but when I do the inside of the wagons I do each plank individually I'm hoping that it helps creat that each plank is separate look
H I've toned down the planking and put on the diamonds .Im quite pleased with it so far I just need to do the rest of it now
Very nice John. Adrian (ABS) is so good at pattern making of things like buffers and axleboxes and it shows.
Almost there now I'll put it to one side for a bit and come back to it I'm hoping that it's looking a little bit like the photo above
Not sure if Mike Osborne will read this, but if he does - is that body pattern one of yours Mike?
I'm pretty sure that it is.Mike does look on here so hopefully he will comment
Mike, yes I believe that is the one I made for Meteor Models that went to Adrain Swain.
Although I have made over 15 patterns for various people I have very few of my own in my collection. I would like some of the Dia 2 and 4 plus the hopper wagons but I don't expect to get them now. I would love to do some more patterns and produce them myself but like a lot of people I have various personal issues to deal with as well as getting a bit long in the tooth.
I have made a few different varieties of Dia 1 for myself including this early version with rounded corners and old leather buffers. It just needs the axleboxes fitting and finishing off with lettering and other small bits.
Does anyone know how Adrain Swain is in these trying times ?
