Im surprised you got his system working on such small wheels.
I just elected to add a captive spring between hornblock and guide.
Is there any benefit to this system over my solution?

Not really, just thought it would be good idea, it is “adjustable” and it does mean I can select other springs without taking it all to pieces.

A very useful feature, considering the front axle is a pain to get out due to motor and motion.

The next job(s) is to sort the rods, front crank pins and fit the motor/gearbox.
I’m going to fit a Deltang r/c system, so soon will be able to run the chassis before I carry on with the cab etc.

Test fitting brakes & motor.




Take it all to bits now, might even get some paint on the frames - red inside, black outside.

im surprised you could get the gearbox on the rear axle. Must be a tight fit to the frame spacer.

It wasn’t a tight fit Trevor, it didn’t fit at all.
A bit of adjustment in the frame spacers to clear.

I should add that I’m modifying Trevor’s parts to suit my ideas i.e. nothing wrong with his design at all.
