Would you be able to continue the bricks to the base for folk wanting a free standing signalbox with a low height plinth?

That look`s ideal for scratch builders Chris.

A couple of question`s if i may though, will the sheet`s be the same size as your roof tie sheet`s.
And thinking ahead....would you be able to do these in 1:48 scale for US O scale....?

Brian.

Can you supply plain sheets, and what size? I've got some 1:160 scale buildings to make and 1mm MDF is a tad thick.

[Edit] And can it be etched/cut by a laser diode?

Jim.

I guess it is quite feasible to produce ‘perspective’ pieces too - tapered workpiece, tapered mortar lines of diminishing width?

Can you reduce the laser cut width / depth for the 2mm scale brickwork?

Tim
Using the technique that I do, no but I may be able to do so another way. It will just take longer. For 2mm scale, lasercut brick work is a bit overkill. I think very good results can be had with printed overlays.

Maybe so, but we have used it to good effect on a large warehouse on CF. Unfortunately the Chinese laser cutter used for the work is currently out of commission. Printed paper works very well in some hands, but it doesn’t suit my style of 2mm modelling.

Your laser cut brickwork is similar in texture to the Slaters plastikard brick sheets. We improve that by sanding it down to nearly flat. For frontline buildings we make our own styrene brick sheet using an heated etched zinc plate. It is very subtle and also introduces irregularities.
