Hi Adrian/ Simon

Please may I draw your attention to a post I've made on the Cameo section of the forum requesting advice.

I only placed it on this morning but not sure whether I should have posted here instead in the admin. Section.

Apologies for creating more threads.

Best wishes,

jonte

Hi,

No worries about the posts and new threads - there's no formal process so I'm fairly relaxed about it either way. I didn't get a chance to do anything this morning as I spent all morning wandering around aircraft hangars giving tours to our new Graduate intake.

For various reasons the Cameo section has slightly different access permissions to the rest of the site, for example non-members should be able to see the full size images on the Cameo thread etc. Anyway no need to bore you with details, suffice to say you should now be in the permission group that will allow you to start a new thread.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Hi Jonte.

Excuse the intrusion, but after your experiences with "the box" (otherwise known as "Boxgate") I'm truly hoping that you are impatient! I wish I had the scenic modelling experimental potential that you clearly have, so I'll be watching your thread with extreme interest!

I'm not entering, BTW. I don't build layouts - in fact I don't build much at all at the moment. Real life is getting in the way right now.

I always appreciate you dropping by, Brian.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement; I sincerely hope I don't disappoint. That said, updates regrettably will be sporadic as 'Real Life' has caught up with me too!

Just to let you know I've started a thread with some outline details. Will post up a track diagram ASAP.

Kind regards,

jonte

PS I still enjoy looking at the pictures of the Halls and Granges you sent me and at some point, I'll return to weathering my Hornby OO conversion. jonte.

Apologies if I seemed impatient.
Honestly no need for apologies - I realise it was just uncertainty about where to post rather than impatience and reading back my response I can see it may have seemed a little brusque which was not the intention.

Further apologies, Adrian, if I gave you that impression; if anything, it was me who was worried about appearing to harass you with the dual posts in a relatively short time scale. If anything, I felt sorry burdening you with toy train stuff when you had real issues to deal with (although I rather envy those graduates in the hangar!).

Thanks again for all your valuable help and support (signed: a rather grateful modeller from the poor end of the forum ;)).

Kindest,

jonte
