Prototype Singing (or reminiscing) the blues...

These are photographs from my own collection taken during the mid 70's to the mid 80's and the odd one later.

They may be of use to anyone modelling this period. Some will have been seen before on WT and more will follow when processing has been completed.

Enjoy..

The photo of Aylesbury is interesting with the ex-Blue Spot SPV vans in the background. I seem to recall reading that their last use was for Radio Times distribution from there.

Would that indicate the Radio Times was printed by Hazell Watson and Viney?

Folkestone looks a bit different nowadays, they’ve done a lot of rebuilding and the “Harbour Arm” is quite buzzing, but sadly the opportunity to run three-pannier specials up and down the harbour branch seems to have drawn little enthusiasm from those with influence...

Never mind, I’ve got some nice pix of the last steam run down the tram road, I’ll find and post them

Somehow I missed all these when you posted them back in August, it certainly brings back some memories of my bashing days.

One thing I regret is not taking more photos at the time, but film was expensive back then and I was relatively poor.

I will add some of mine when I get back from Tokyo at the weekend.
