I enjoyed that.
One question, though. The brake tender was presumably on its way to the depot, as it would surely have been superfluous with that many fitted vans at the head of the train.
Quite unlike the real thing! The only bit of Modellers licence was the use of the 31 it was normally a Peak. I wanted to see if the 31 could pull it.
And now I've got van envy,
Had a bit of a session (Not a drink I am afraid)and tested the track
No not really you add expansion joint in as you go around. There is a tendency for these to creep and before you start to run you need to check these as some quite large gaps and heat related kinks can appearI came across your layout while cruising around youtube the other day, great stuff
We've (hopefully) got a pretty hot weekend ahead, do you have any problems with the rails expanding with the heat?
The consist was basically the Bescot-Toton trip it allways included a brake tender back to TO and any spare brake vans for the east midlands coal workings.
Aye: just as important, if not more so, as getting the details spot-on.Nice. I always like to see trains based on real workings.
I think we all know about that!yes mate but not yet to much railway not enough time
