It is not yet apparent how the baseboard edge will be faced in front of the goods shed, but may I suggest it would be good fun to have the water flow from the leaking hydrant running vertically down the side of it? :D

...and a bucket on the floor under it. :):):)

Thank you for the kind comments and likes.

A little progress...the last of the exterior lights for the goods shed:

The bulkhead lights were made as before only with red tower LEDs for the lamps for bays 3 and 4. The overhead lights were knocked up from odd bits of brass wire, styrene square section and some flat, clear plastic from a model kit sprue:

Thank you for all the kind comments and likes.

The ambient lighting (including the starlight) and the ambient sound are all controlled using an Arduino Mega. The more I delved into Arduino the more possibilities I discovered and I've been spurred on to make progress with the random shunting order generator which is initiated from a small (320x240pixel) touch-sensitive LCD panel mounted into the front fascia:

Pressing 'Start' generates a random shunting order for 5 wagons which is displayed on the next screen:

As the wagons are shunted into the correct position, they're marked as such using the touch-sensitive screen:

And once all 5 wagons are marked in position, a new random shunting order is automatically generated:

Hi Chris. I've just found this. Looks great, and I particularly like your ideas for the backscene and lighting. A lot for me to study over the next few days I think!

Fine figure of a man. Too much Brie perhaps?

It comes from a website of model Euro figures, a link to which I’m sure someone posted on here - but I can’t find it now.
Some great characters, they may have been 1/43?
